Motofix recruits nine new apprentices

Motofix has appointed nine new recruits to its apprenticeship scheme.
Apprentices can specialise in paint-shop, body repair, or mechanical, electrical & trim (M.E.T.), or a mixture of all three, or in business administration. Technical apprenticeships last three years, with block release study leading to Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, while business administration take two years.
Richard Tutt, executive chairman and founder of Motofix, said, ‘We’ve run work experience and apprentice programmes since 2003, so growing our own talent has been a key ingredient to our success with a number of former apprentices now holding key positions in the business.’
In 2018, Motofix partnered with Thatcham’s Automotive Academy for its paint and body apprentice programme, and Babcock International in Milton Keynes for Volkswagen Group training.
New recruits are each guided by a mentor on the shop-floor as well as a ‘work buddy’ to help them settle in. The latest intake has joined Motofix teams in Oxford, High Wycombe, Swindon, Exeter, Northampton, Cirencester, Yeovil and Aldershot.
