MG Cannon announces new acquisition

MG Cannon Accident Repair Centre Westbury has welcomed seven new team members to its Westbury site following the acquisition of Motor Bodies Trowbridge.

This latest acquisition falls in line with the growth strategy set out at the beginning of 2017, further strengthening an already well-established and respected brand with a strong market in Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon, Bath, Bristol, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon and East Cornwall.

The company says its focus has already moved on to identifying and delivering the next growth opportunities.

Tony Atkins, owner of Motor Bodies Trowbridge said, ‘The primary factor when making the difficult decision to close Trowbridge, was that I wanted to be certain my valued team were left in good, caring hands. MG Cannon clearly demonstrated that all staff would be retained and become valued members of the MG Cannon team.’

Robert Snook, group director, added, ‘Motor Bodies Trowbridge team have knowledge, experience and skills that fit perfectly with our existing team. The new larger team has integrated brilliantly and it is great to see them working together as one already. They all deserve huge credit for their professionalism in achieving this transition so quickly and seamlessly.’
