Markerstudy race a roaring success

Tunbridge Wells’ first soapbox charity kart race, powered by Markerstudy Group, has been hailed as a roaring success.

Over 5,000 supporters turned out to enjoy an incredible display of wacky and wonderful racing in the Crazy Jean’s Soapbox Kart Race. Powered by Markerstudy Group, the event raised thousands of pounds for two worthwhile charities, ellenor and Hospice in the Weald, with TV chef Rosemary Shrager and Gary Humphreys, group underwriting director of Markerstudy Group opening the event.

Markerstudy, headline sponsors of the event, entered five karts which were supported by a selection of its numerous brands.

Gary Humphreys, said, ‘The Crazy Jean’s Soapbox Kart Race powered by Markerstudy Group was a fabulous fun-filled family day, and I was inordinately proud to blast off proceedings at midday.

‘With so many of our brands involved, I’d like to say thank you to Auto Windscreens who handed out over 1,600 portions of free chips, and a huge well done to our 30 plus staff who took part in our five karts, including a dog kennel creation sponsored by Geoffrey Insurance, a Mobile phone on wheels jointly sponsored by TRiCE insurance app, Go Get It pet insurance and Gadget Cover, and an Auto Windscreens’ ‘van’ complete with a windscreen. There were plenty of exhilarating thrills and spills and it was a wonderful day which put the fun into insurance.’
