Industry Insights adds key partners

Industry Insights has secured a string of new Connected Solutions partners as its holistic, end-to-end approach to motor claims continues to develop.

Control Expert, Morelli Group, Pilkington Automotive and Thatcham Research have all signed up, strengthening the 20-strong partner proposition.

Steve Thompson, managing director, Industry Insights, said, ‘Our partners are the undisputable driving force in developing future solutions that help shape a leaner, fitter and stronger claims market for all. On behalf of the Connected Solutions team, I warmly welcome the expertise and knowledge of Paul, Ruth, Shaun, Garry and Matthew – and that of their much-respected teams – to Connected Solutions.’

ControlExpert joins as engineering and data partner. It operates out of 15 countries, handling more than eight million claims each year. Paul Sykes, regional managing director, ControlExpert UK, said, ‘I decided to join ConnectedSolutions in order to associate ControlExpert with best of breed organisations across the insurer/WP supply chain. Steve, Sharon and the team have created a unique offering to the industry and ControlExpert fulfils a valuable digital link in the chain.

‘Our strong belief is that a seamless blend of artificial and human intelligence is currently the only way to engineer, authorise and manage motor claims digitally. Our aim is always to ‘play well’ with the existing insurer supply chain, as we believe collaboration drives much greater innovation and therefore benefits for our clients.’

Meanwhile, Morelli Group has joined as paint distribution partner. Ruth Moring-Beale, group sales director, said, ‘Morelli are pleased to be the approved distribution partner to Industry Insights. We are keen to develop existing and forge new business relationships working with Steve and his team throughout the supply chain, creating sustainable and mutually beneficial contacts through Connected Solutions. We passionately believe in the concept of a win-win partnership and testimonies to-date indicates this is an achievable goal.’

Glass technology partner is Pilkington Automotive. Shaun Lawson, commercial manager, UK and Ireland wholesale, said, ‘We are proud to join the well-respected businesses that make up the innovative Connected Solutions proposition. Pilkington fully support the pioneering approach to remove frictional costs and inefficiencies from traditional supply chain models by working with the market specialists. In the ever changing times of vehicle safety and especially with the introduction of myriad ADAS systems, I am certain Pilkington, as a global leader in advanced glass technology, can bring clarity and understanding of both current and future glass technologies.’

Meanwhile, Thatcham Research has been named technical and data skills partner. Matthew Wright, head of commercial development, said, ‘The ability to work as a Connected Solutions’ partner, and with the team at Industry Insights, will allow Thatcham Research to continue to identify and develop new opportunities around technical training, repair methods and data propositions to support the accident repair industry at a time when new vehicle technology is growing faster and more complex than ever before.’
