Grove acquires Avon Auto Colours

The Grove Group has acquired the remaining branches of Avon Auto Colours. The business and assets were transferred on 1 September.
The acquisition will grow the Grove network, increasing the number of branches from nine to 11 in England, Scotland and Wales.
Avon Auto Colours opened in 1982 in the Bristol area, providing automotive refinish products to the surrounding areas. During the last 36 years the business has developed into a successful multisite operation, covering a large area of the West country under the guidance of Paul Hayers.
Founder Paul Hayers, will remain within the organisation to ensure a smooth transition as Avon becomes part of the Grove Group.
Paul said, ‘After nearly 40 years leading and developing the business, I have decided that it is time for me to hand over the reins. I have built some good relationships over the years, and I would like to thank all our customers, suppliers for their support. I would also like to thank the team for all their hard work and I wish them every success for the future. I can only see the business moving forward and getting stronger with Graham and the rest of the team at Grove.’
