G&P supports leaders of the future

Quality management experts G&P has shown its commitment to future talent within its business as an impressive number of 25 employees are now enrolled on a prestigious leadership course.

The first batch of 15 employees, who enrolled on the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) course last year, have just been joined by a further 10 co-workers who will undergo 18 months of training, including workshops and one-to-one meetings with a dedicated training advisor.

Staff taking part in the ILM Level 3 training, which is aimed at aspiring professionals taking their first step into line management and also some with experience of managing a team, come from a variety of roles within G&P, including admin team leaders and a range of operational positions.

Demonstrating its commitment to its staff, G&P, a winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2016, will provide support via Performance through People, a quality training provider based in the Midlands.

Julian Dawes, UK managing director at G&P, said, ‘People are at the heart of G&P which is why we are fully committed to providing the very best on-the-job training to our employees. We strive to be an employer of choice and it is tremendously encouraging to see that 25 staff from a variety of job roles within G&P have taken the opportunity to develop their skills and take their first steps towards being the leaders of the future.’

Shaun Kelly, a supervisor at G&P who has just enrolled, said, ‘The ILM course is a great way to progress within the business and G&P actively encourage their staff to apply if it is to their benefit. I cannot wait to get started.’
