Fix Auto doubles Cornwall centre

Fix Auto Penzance has announced an investment programme that will allow its west Cornwall repair centre to double in size.

Owner Stuart Cameron has secured an area of land adjoining his existing facilities and work has commenced on creating additional car parking to increase workflow and productivity.

A second phase will see the development of the existing repair centre, which was named bodyshop magazine’s Small Bodyshop of the Year 2017. The project will create an additional six work bays while plans are also in place to create an express repair facility on land adjacent to the bodyshop.

‘It’s been a long process,’ said Stuart, ‘there is simply no industrial land left to develop or move onto in West Cornwall, I’ve spent years looking. Fortunately, we managed to persuade our neighbouring landowner to sell but that was in the summer of 2016, it’s taken until now to tie up the loose ends and gain access to start developing it.  We are finally there and making progress.

‘The additional space, which will more than double our existing footprint, will immediately help us to improve our workflow and increase our capacity. Long term, it will also provide the space needed to further develop the centre.’
