Farécla painting competition finalists announced

The semi-finalists in Farécla’s competition for young painters learned which bonnets had been selected for the Grand Final.

Five bonnets, rather than the originally intended four, have been selected. Farécla marketing manager David Stokes explained, ‘In discussion with our senior paint technician, Mark Taylor, it was clear that in his estimation five bonnets (including the public’s choice announced yesterday) stood out, with it being a very close call as to which one would miss out if the Grand Final featured only four bonnets as originally planned, so in keeping with the competition’s aim of encouraging young painters, Farécla took the decision to put up extra prize money and bring all five bonnets to our offices to contest the Grand Final.’

The five Grand Finalists are: Elliot Campbell of the Figaro Shop in Didcot, Charlie Clark of Apollo Motor Group, Dover, Rhiannon Murfin of Motofix, Exeter, Kieran Purton of The Colchester Institute and Agnieszka Szenfeld of Motofix, High Wycombe.

The Grand Final will take place at the Farécla UK offices on 3 October when the winner and runner up will be chosen by a panel of three judges: George Sneddon, Global OEM technical program manager at AkzoNobel, Daryl Head, refinisher at Nationwide Crash Repair Centres, and Tom French, graphic design and brand manager at Farécla.
