DEKRA acquires Gain

DEKRA has acquired Gain Solutions Limited (Gain), a specialist with almost 20 years of experience in end-of-term inspections and fleet management.

‘This acquisition significantly expands our capacity to perform independent vehicle inspections in the UK, for a client base that is increasingly interested in the transparency of neutral vehicle inspections,’ said Paul Bradbury, managing director, DEKRA Automotive Ltd.

Gain, founded in 2000, is based in Chippenham (Wiltshire) and operates throughout the UK.  In addition to vehicle inspections Gain offers fleet management, used car coaching and training.  Customers include major OEMs, banks and leasing companies.  This acquisition consolidates DEKRA’s leading position in end-of-term appraisals and peace-of-mind technical inspections.

Co-founder and chairman Robin Watson of Gain and managing director Marcus Blakemore will remain and continue to grow the business across all activities.  Jon Stevens, head of sales, DEKRA, added, ‘We will be collaborating closely to strengthen our customer relationships to deliver innovative solutions to our combined client base.’
