Covéa implements Audatex technology

Covéa Insurance has struck an industry-leading deal with global technology provider Audatex, making it the first UK insurer to implement fully-integrated image capture technology to simplify and streamline the claims experience for its motor customers.

The new technology enables Covéa customers to send pictures of their damaged vehicle directly to their chosen repairer via a smart mobile-friendly portal. The portal is fully integrated into both Covéa and the repairers’ systems, making the claims process slicker and more convenient than ever before.

Alastair Sherwin, motor engineer manager for Covéa Insurance said, ‘We’re delighted to be the first insurer to bring Audatex’s customer image capture technology to the claims market, driving innovation and streamlining the insurance claims process for our customers.

‘This pioneering integrated technology is linked to our award-winning Repair Allocation Manager solution, where images flow seamlessly to the repairer via the AudaEnterpriseGold estimating system.

‘It means customers now benefit from intelligent booking in and parts ordering, even before their vehicle arrives at the repairer, shortening ‘key to key’ times and delivering a significantly improved customer experience.’

David Shepherd, regional managing director at Audatex UKSA, added, ‘We’re delighted our partner, Covèa Insurance is the first insurer to adopt the image capture solution, which will further support both bodyshops and customers through the claims process. The image capture technology will help Covèa to optimise its claims lifecycle and refine its customer journey in the digital revolution.’

Covéa Insurance has a strong track record partnering with Audatex who it collaborated with to deliver its award-winning Repairer Allocation Manager (RAM) solution. RAM is an online integrated tool that uses Google Maps to improve customer choice by intelligently selecting approved vehicle manufacturer and repairers in the immediate vicinity and providing real-time distance and travel time to the customer.
