Competition time for Farécla

Farécla, the UK’s leading manufacturer of compounds and refinishing products, is launching a national car bonnet painting competition, aimed at apprentices who are at level 2 or 3.

The winning bonnet will be one of the showpieces displayed on the Farécla stand at the Advanced Engineering Show at the NEC on 31 October and 1 November 2018.

Apprentices can register for the competition through their college or bodyshop, and Farécla will supply participating colleges/bodyshops with a pack of products from its Optimised Paint System (OPS) and 1-2-G3 product ranges to help contestants achieve a first class finish.

Online go live date is 16 February when a new Farécla website launches, and formal launch will take place during National Apprenticeship Week 5-9 March. Closing date for submission of application forms is end June, and for submission of the completed bonnet in the form of a photo or series of photos of the painted bonnet, is 1 August 2018.

Two rounds of judging in September will result in a grand final of the top 4 bonnets. Those 4 bonnets will be transported to Farécla HQ where an expert panel will choose the ultimate winner, with the winning apprentice receiving his or her prize on the Farécla stand at the Advanced Engineering Show on 31 October.
