Charlie Mason Apprentice of the Year

Charlie Mason, a technician at Inchcape UK’s centre in Conwy, North Wales has been presented with an Apprentice of the Year 2018 Award by Mercedes-Benz.

The Mercedes Benz Apprentice of the Year Awards are presented to those who have gone above and beyond in their workplace and for their customers. Just four young people from across the country were honoured in this year’s awards with Charlie presented with the Passenger Car Technician Apprentice of the Year accolade.

The 20 -year-old apprentice technician has worked for Inchcape UK at its North Wales Mercedes-Benz centre on Conwy Road for almost three years. Charlie was nominated for the prestigious award by his Manager Nigel Roberts and was judged on categories including initiative and flexibility, cooperation and teamwork, accomplishments and quality of work.

Peter Arrowsmith, general manager of the Inchcape North Wales dealership said, ‘Being crowned as a Mercedes-Benz Apprentice of the Year is a real testament to Charlie’s hard work and determination. The accolade is extremely well deserved, and we are proud to have such a talented young technician working in our team.’

In recognition of his commitment and dedication, Mercedes-Benz has also offered Charlie a week of work experience with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team in the lead up to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
