Charity Ball a sell out

The third Annual Charity Spring Ball, taking place on 21 April at The Telford Hotel & Golf Resort and organised by Martyn Rowley (Audatex) and Paul Glover (Morelli Group), has sold out.

Martyn said, ‘As with the two previous years, demand for tickets has been incredible and the support we have had from the industry in buying tables and offering prizes for the charity auction has once again been a real help for us organising.

‘There are representatives from across the board which is nice to see, and the atmosphere is always great. This year will be a record attendance for the event, which means more money for the charities.’

From its beginning in 2016 the event has grown from just over 50 people in year one to 200 now, which has meant this year has seen a venue switch to The Telford Hotel & Golf Resort to accommodate the surge in guests attending.

Paul Glover said, ‘Having raised almost £12,000 in the first two years, we are now really pushing to beat that total in 2018. With the increase in guest numbers, and the fantastic auction prizes on offer we are sure we can do this. With 100% of the money raised going directly to our nominated charities of AutoRaise and DEBRA we can make a real difference.’

Martyn and Paul give up their time and energy to this every year on a voluntary basis, and are grateful for the support from the sponsors and table bookers who once again have dug deep to help make the event a success.

Event sponsors are Bridge Academy (headline sponsor); Sandicliffe Motor Contracts (entertainment sponsor); Gemini Accident Repair Centres (auction and raffle sponsor); Morelli Group (table wine and golf sponsor); S&G Response (pre–dinner entertainment); and Autocraft Telford (table raffle sponsor).

Supporters include Audatex, Autocraft Telford, AutoRaise, AW Repair Group, Bridge Academy, bodyshop magazine, COVÉA Insurance, Fix Auto Oswestry, Gemini ARC, Glasurit, Hosdon Ford, Hutchings Motor Group, Morelli Group, PJB Bodyshop, PSA Peugeot Citroen, RS Motors, S&G Response, Sandicliffe Motor Contracts, UPOL, Velocity Group, Whaley Bridge ARC, Wyndon Motors, and XL Motors.

Although evening tickets have now sold out, there is still the opportunity for you to donate a prize for the auction, remember all proceeds go directly to the nominated charities.

For those who are lucky enough to have already booked their places, they can expect good food in beautiful surroundings and some great entertainment from Matt and Zoe who are both back by popular demand. The evening will be rounded off by the famous DJ Old Skool playing some classic good time music for everyone to enjoy as they dance last into the evening and early morning.
