What are you most looking forward to about the bodyshop Event & Awards?

The event provides a great platform for the industry to come together, share experiences, and discuss important issues. Thatcham Research leads the field in the knowledge and understanding of new vehicle technology and the implications for repair processes.

Participation at the event allows us to demonstrate how, through our commercial products and training, we can equip bodyshops with the business-critical tools and knowledge they need to maintain efficiencies within their businesses.

How has the Event & Awards benefited you in previous years?

We have always been involved in the award event in some shape or form over the past few years. The awards Thatcham Research sponsor continue to hold weight within the industry because the achievement is genuinely hard to obtain. Having designed and facilitated assessments for both the apprentice and technician awards this year, we’ve seen the competencies of the candidates tested to be of a very high level. This benchmark recognises the skills of the people who represent the ‘life-blood’ of our industry and we are very proud to be part of it.

What experience does the Event provide?

This year we are delighted to be nominated for an award in the Education & Training category. The accolade provides recognition for the successful apprenticeship programmes and technical training delivered at our Automotive Academy. It’s also a recognition of the hard work put in by the team here at Thatcham and we look forward to joining the other nominees on the evening to celebrate our achievements.
