bodyshop Event sponsor interview – S&B

S&B continues to proudly sponsor bodyshop’s Event & Awards. Here, we catch up with body and paint teacher, Steffan Taylor, S&B, about what positives and opportunities the Event brings for the company.

1. What are you most looking forward to about the UK event?

The bodyshop magazine awards and UK event is an excellent opportunity for S&B Automotive Academy to promote ourselves to the UK repair and bodyshop network and highlight the services we offer. From apprenticeships to accreditations, S&B delivers high-quality training to the automotive industry and with a stand at the bodyshop magazine event; it gives us a chance to meet with employers and technicians alike to advance ourselves as a business through networking.

The event also provides the ability to view new technology that is emerging within the repair sector and stay up to date with modern processes that are being developed. This helps us maintain the high-quality, cutting edge training that we provide to our apprentices and customers. As winners of the 2017 training and education provider award, the awards evening was an excellent chance for the team at S&B to be recognised for the hard work they put in to achieve this standard to promote the academy as a whole.

2. How has the UK Event and Awards benefited you in previous years?

From winning the award last year and in previous years, it has given us the opportunity to acquire new business from the recognition that that the UK Event and Awards have provided. This includes cementing relationships with existing customers and employers to meeting new potential partners through our position as a quality training provider within the automotive industry. This is in line with recent OFSTED and MATRIX reports in which S&B again scored highly. This makes me extremely proud to work for a provider that has been recognised for delivering high quality training.

3. What experience does the event provide?

Once again, the UK event provides an excellent opportunity to network and meet new and existing customers. It also helps keep up to date with current technology in the repair sector which can ultimately be passed back on to our apprentices. Forming new partnerships with companies and employers is a key part of the event for us, as we are constantly on the lookout provide the best training that we can to our candidates, so meeting new potential business partners helps us provide the best equipment and opportunities for the apprentices. The event also gives the team at S&B a chance to be recognised for the hard work they put in and to be rewarded for it as well at the evening dinner.
