CAPS is a proud sponsor of the bodyshop Event & Awards 2018. Here, we speak to Kevern Thompson, CAPS commercial manager, about what benefits the event brings for him and the company.

 

What are you most looking forward to about the bodyshop Event & Awards?

This is one of the only events where you get the majority of the industry to attend, network, collaborate and socialise at the same time.

How has the Event benefited you in previous years?

Although CAPS has been around since 2007, it remained a hidden benefit till the change of ownership two and a half years ago. Our first year 2016, was spent educating the Industry on the importance of secure data exchange and ensuring CAPS became a brand people could trust, until such time people were a little bit hesitant of the system. Last year, we definitely felt that we were being more accepted by the industry and actually at the bodyshop Event, during the day on the Friday, a lot of people came and started engaging with us and asking us lots of questions.

What experience does the Event provide?

Association with the event provides credibility and to a certain extent supports validation. Your product and/or service has an opportunity to reach a broad audience due to the broad spectrum of people in attendance, who represent the wider supply chain. One of the only Industry events where you get insurer/wk providers, suppliers and bodyshops all mingling and networking together over a common theme – how to continue to make our Industry great! Education continues to be our theme on the CAPS stand this year.
