AutoRaise showcase three events

AutoRaise events in partnership with The Vella Group and Blackpool & The Fylde College hailed a massive success.

Three AutoRaise showcase events held to raise awareness of AutoRaise and apprenticeship opportunities in the industry have created eight potential new apprentices for The Vella Group.

The events, held at The Vella Groups Workington, Preston and Chester sites saw local young people come together with local repairers and industry suppliers to create a unique event.

The Vella Group, who are partnering with Blackpool & The Fylde College to initially create 10 new apprentice positions for the AutoRaise multi-skilled apprenticeship standard, had the pleasure of being able to involve its teams and families in the events following its recent re-branding exercise.

Helen Driscoll, HR manager at The Vella Group said, ‘The show case events were a resounding success. The support from AutoRaise and B&FC, along with the industry partners, meant that the events went even better than we hoped. Despite us holding them the week after the local schools finished, and with quite short notice, AutoRaise and B&FC worked really hard to ensure that where was plenty of positive interest on the nights’.

Blackpool & The Fylde College recently committed to deliver the AutoRaise multi-skilled apprenticeship standard and The Vella Group will fill the first ever group of multi-skilled apprentices at the college.

Claire Jameson, director of business development at B&FC for Business, said, ‘I’m delighted with the number of repairers and potential apprentices who engaged with these events and can only envisage even more interest in the future.’
