Autofarm undertakes rare Porsche resto

After tracking down and acquiring what it claims as the last ever right-hand drive 1973 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7, independent Porsche specialist Autofarm has started work on its restoration.
The ‘Trinidad RS’ as it is now known is a highly sought after classic Porsche with a remarkable history and, having survived a number of unusual modifications, the tragic murder of one of its owners and 40 years of intense Caribbean heat and sun, the car is now in the process of being disassembled ready to be meticulously rebuilt and restored by Autofarm for its new owner.
Mikey Wastie, managing director of Autofarm, said, ‘The Trinidad RS is an extremely rare car with a colourful history and it’s exciting for us, as passionate RS specialists, to have been able to acquire this car and have the opportunity to restore it to its former glory.
Having generated much interest, Mikey claims the Trinidad RS is ‘about to start an exciting new chapter of its story’. He continued, ‘We are proud to have been able to unite this extraordinary Porsche with who we believe will be the perfect new owner and we will be working closely with them to rebuild and rejuvenate this car and prepare it for the next stage of its life.’
Autofarm will be creating a series of behind the scenes videos over the next 12 months to document the restoration process and to share any discoveries about the car and its provenance as they are unearthed.
