Apollo takes the VW cup

Apollo Prestige Ltd based in Chichester has lifted the inaugural Volkswagen Group (VWG) PBN Sports Challenge Cup.

The VWG UK Paint and Body division’s network incentive competition, built around a fantasy football theme, saw VWG approved shops go up against each other based on key performance metrics including customer satisfaction, repair guarantees issued, repair quality and total loss avoidance utilisation.

In a tough fought competition participants first competed in leagues prior to those qualifying going head to head in a knock-out format. The final saw Apollo Prestige Ltd go up against Sowton Body Repairs in Exeter, with the former taking the title by the narrowest of margins.

Apollo Prestige Ltd bodyshop manager, Derek Sellen said, ‘This competiton has been great for us because it has got everyone involved from the workshop controller trying to improve our key to key times to the vehicle damage assessors utilising total loss avoidance right through to front of house staff trying to schedule work in more efficiently. Everyone has played a major role in the success.’

Franco Iannotta, paint and body programmes and standards manager, VWG said, ‘I am so pleased for Apollo Prestige Ltd for winning the PBN Sports Challenge Cup for 2017.  Their performance throughout the year was exceptional. They finished first in the toughest league set of all – the Premier League – and their undefeated performance through five rounds of the knock-out stages makes them undoubted worthy winners.

‘The VWG UK paint and body team congratulate Derek and his team for a brilliant performance and for being the first team to hold aloft the PBN Sports Challenge Cup.’

Along with the VWG PBN Challenge Cup, Apollo Prestige Ltd were also presented with John Lewis vouchers courtesy of VWG network partner, Stanners Equipment.
