ACIS appoints Damon Curtis

ACIS has appointed Damon Curtis as business development director to continue to forge greater collaboration between vehicle manufacturers (VM), insurers and the independent bodyshop sector.

Leicester-born Damon, who has almost 40 years’ experience in the automotive distribution sector, joins the market-leading national network for added-value products and services to the accident repair market from National Independent Bodyshop Supplies (NIBS), where he was sales director.

Damon, who started his new role on August 1, will carry out a complementary role to recently promoted Ian Dalgarno, who is in charge of business development in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Damon said, ‘ACIS is a business focussed on growth, not just in sales, but in terms of looking to forge greater collaboration between all the partners in the accident repair market – from ACIS members through to vehicles manufacturers, insurers and bodyshops.

‘This change is being enabled by the greater use of technology, an area where ACIS is already a market leader in because it is helping bodyshops to help themselves to be more efficient and profitable, on a daily basis.’
