3M to explore automotive repair adhesives

3M is inviting bodyshop professionals, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) designers and engineers to register for a free webinar about what recent developments in adhesive technology mean for the industry.

The webinar – titled ‘Adhesive Technology: Enabling Advances in Automotive Repair and Lightweighting’ – will run from 12.00 noon to 13.00 on 5 July 2018.

It will be led by Dr Antonio Pagliuca, a senior technical specialist and subject matter expert on adhesives for 3M’s Industrial Business Group.

Among other topics, he will discuss the latest adhesive bonding technologies available for automotive repairs; how these can help with lightweighting, repairing multi-material body structures and meeting environmental targets; and how to select the right adhesive for a given job.

Antonio said, ‘New structural adhesives are playing an increasingly large role in the vehicle repair industry, particularly with the recent trend towards lightweighting.

‘Bodyshops stand to gain enormously from understanding these technologies, including why, when and how they can be used and how to pick the correct adhesive for the task at hand.

‘This webinar will be a great opportunity for professionals of all levels of experience to learn more about this topic. I encourage those who are interested to register online and share the webpage with colleagues.’

The interactive webinar will be aimed at everyone from bodyshop owners and managers to OEM design engineers and technicians. To register, visit www.3M.co.uk/AdhesiveWebinar
