The Tyne is right for Fix Auto

Fix Auto UK has announced that Newcastle Accident Repair Centre has joined the network and will now operate as Fix Auto Newcastle.

The 11,000 sqft bodyshop is one of five repair centres within the Tyne Tees Vehicle Repair Group owned by Darren Norton.

The Newcastle bodyshop is preparing to undergo a significant investment programme, but currently houses a single spraybooth and 18 work-bays and has a capacity to repair up to 40 vehicles a week. The aim is to double this once the enhancements, which will include a secondary eight-bay spraybooth and additional equipment as well as new lighting, are completed in the autumn.

Speaking about joining the network, Darren said, ‘I’ve worked tirelessly to develop my repair group but it is now time to broaden my proposition and become part of a network. In my eyes, there was no better network to join than Fix Auto UK and I am looking forward to adopting the brand.

‘I have watched Fix Auto UK grow and develop, particularly over the last four years and, for me, joining is the natural step if I am going to continue to develop and expand further into the future.’

Ian Pugh, of Fix Auto UK, said, ‘Bringing Darren and Fix Auto Newcastle on board is a great addition for the network as we look to build our presence in the North East of England. He brings with him a wealth of experience and I look forward to him using this to drive the success of Fix Auto Newcastle.
