Startup Autobahn second programme launched

Startup Autobahn, established by Daimler, Silicon Valley accelorator PlugandPlay, the University of Stuttgart and ARENA2036, is the innovation and cooperation platform between companies and start-ups for the future of mobility and Industry 4.0, has selected a record 28 companies for its second round.

In the second programme candidates will work on their projects at the ARENA2036 technology laboratory and later present their results on Expo Day in July later this year.

The start-ups selected for the programme are as follows: Bernstein, BigChainDB, BlueInductive, Dear Reality, Fibres, Fluid Logistics, GuardKnox, Holo-Light, Ideafox, iNDTact, innoviz, Jetlite, Kreatize, Memobase, microps, Physiosense, Pomp, ProductiveMobile, Quantoz, R3Communications, Re’flekt, Relimetrics, renumics, siOPTICA, SUSI&James, Truphysics, TwentyBN and What3Words.

They will be working on a range of projects that could include anything from Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence to the management of the value chain from design through to the supplier. Each candidate is offered space in the ARENA2036 research factory as well as access to the brand-new Hardware Lab at the University of Stuttgart campus for three months.

The project aims to set up an ecosystem in the Stuttgart region, Germany with partners including, Porsche, ZF, BASF, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Murata, all of whom support the accompanied programs of the incubator PlugandPlay Tech Centre, the University of Stuttgart and ARENA2036.
