Pendragon teams up with cap hpi
Pendragon plc claims it is set to lead the automotive retail sector with a new data deal with cap hpi.
The deal will see cap hpi data integrated fully across Pendragon’s operations to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience. The new five-year deal will see cap hpi provide a comprehensive range of valuation and vehicle provenance data.
Commenting on the move, Malcolm Bailey, business development director at Pendragon, said, ‘Pendragon recognise that we live in a data-rich world. Sourcing the most accurate data in real time can drive down cost, drive up efficiency, and improve the customer’s experience. This deal will change the way we use data to drive our business forward.’
The data will be used in Pendragon’s existing systems and see new applications developed by cap hpi.
Wendy Swaine, head of retail for cap hpi said, ‘The partnership with Pendragon will see a full backfill of vehicle descriptive and provenance data in the Pinnacle DMS system. We are also working closely to ensure that any additional data sets and our new innovative products are used across the Pendragon business.’
Wendy continued, ‘We are also developing consumer appraisal tools, territory planning and mapping services along with the core database cleansing across the entire group, both monitoring vehicle ownership and consumer address changes.’
