Mitchells of Mansfield keeps on trucking

Mitchells of Mansfield is preparing for its 50 birthday celebrations by investing £750,000 in new Renault trucks.

As a result of tremendous growth, Mitchells has decided to upgrade 10 existing trucks. The investment in trucks will help meet the growing demand of customers across a variety of sectors, while ensuring that the maintenance cost from wear and tear of the fleet remains low. This will keep its drivers on the road for longer, providing an efficient and high level of service for customers with same day or overnight delivery.

The family-run company, which has 75 employees and owns a fleet of 38 purchased the 10 new trucks from East Midlands Renault Trucks distributor, RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV). Mitchells hopes to further upgrade additional trucks with RHCV over the next year.

Andrew Mitchell, managing director, said, ‘We are dedicated to ensuring each of our customers receive a first-class service and as a result of a strong year of growth, we needed to upgrade our existing trucks to ensure we carried out this service efficiently and continue to grow across all markets. We chose to purchase Renault trucks for the first time, as the package and deal from RHCV really stood out to us and we were blown away by the brilliant service. We are growing all the time and will eventually upgrade the rest of the fleet this year to Renault trucks – returning to purchase from RHCV when we do.’

Paul Pearson, commercial director at RHCV said, ‘We are delighted to have worked with Mitchells of Mansfield to help them upgrade and improve their service offering. We are looking forward to working with them further in the near future, as part of the company’s significant growth.’
