Jet-powered Hearse to make live appearance

Iconic British manufacturer Norton will be the featured marque at this year’s Prescott Bike Festival, which takes place at the famous Gloucestershire hill-climb on 9 April.

The Norton Owners Club is set to stage a huge display, including parade runs featuring the rare 1956 Manx 350cc Reverse Head plus a 1959 Dominator 650DD Special.

The Festival is renowned for the diversity of machinery that it attracts and this year will be no different. Creator Allen Millyard will return with no less than eight of his amazing creations, while Matt McKeown returns with not only the World’s Fastest Shopping Trolley but also his latest project – the World’s Fastest jet-powered Hearse ‘Dead Quick’.

Meanwhile, Kevin Scott brings his record-breaking Monowheel, which earned a place in the Guinness World Records with a 61mph run at Elvington in Yorkshire.

The Paddock Specials display will feature 100 motorcycles including a Joey Dunlop TT race bike, an award-winning shed-build Kawasaki Z1000 and a rare 1973 Triumph Trackmaster flat-track racer. Riders can book in advance for the opportunity to ride the historic track for themselves or enjoy a passenger experiences in anything from a Racing Sidecar outfit to a Morgan Three Wheeler.

The Festival also includes plenty of off-track attractions, with more than 100 exhibitors in the Dealer and Trade Zones.

All proceeds go to the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes and regional blood bike group Severn Freewheelers.
