‘It’s been another phenomenal year’

The Wheel Specialist’s 2017 annual conference highlighted the growing demand for alloy wheel refurbishments, with the franchise completing nearly 106,000 wheel refurbs last year alone.

Diamond Cut wheel refurbishment saw a massive increase of 37.5% on 2015 figures, driving an increase in turnover of 23%. Mobile visitors played a key part in this after The Wheel Specialist launched a new mobile version of its website, with new enquiries up 35%.

To meet growing demand, the franchise plans to expand with further branches opening in Leicester and Northampton in the coming months.

Ginny Murphy, director of operations, said, ‘It’s been another phenomenal year for TWS, far exceeding our already high expectations and I would like to thank the whole team and network for making it possible.

‘Our growth continues to be exponential with new franchisees seeing the great success of others and wanting to reap the benefits of such and in-demand service themselves. We are already planning more branch openings for 2017 / 2018 that will offer our full range of alloy wheel refurbishment services including Diamond Cutting.’

Meanwhile, Fareham won the awards for Highest Refurb Sales, Highest Product Sales and Best Sales and Marketing, while Nottingham was named ‘Best Overall Performing Franchise’.
