innogy in super-fast talks

innogy claims it is in ‘intense’ talks with carmakers in a bid to be selected as a supplier of super-fast charging stations for electric vehicles throughout Europe.

Despite the ‘intense’ suggestion, innogy chief executive Peter Terium, said, ‘It’s not a done deal yet,’ and pointed to strong competition from rival suppliers.

According to Reuters BMW, Daimler, Ford and Volkswagen plan to build about 400 ‘next-generation’ charging stations in Europe that can reload an electric car in minutes instead of hours.
