HELLA is a hit at Automechanika

HELLA launched Behr HELLA Service’s free Advanced Training Academy (ATA) at Automechanika Birmingham, which is designed to build on the technicians’ existing skills and keep them at the leading edge of thermal management.

Regional training centres will be introduced and workshops are encouraged to sign up for the academy at www.strengthenyourpotential.com, where workshops can promote their region as a training hotspot and potentially secure themselves a convenient location for training.

In addition, HELLA Gutmann Solutions enjoyed an active role in various sections of the event, including presenting two seminars on ‘Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Awareness’ at the Technical Theatre. Moreover, the diagnostic experts took part in the ‘Interactive Workshop’, showcasing live demonstrations on the simple procedure of setting up the camera and sensor calibration (CSC) tool.

Due to HELLA’s original equipment (OE) competence, lighting and electronics range occupied a significant portion of the stand and was popular with visitors, who were interested in its aftermarket solution. Additionally the stand featured HELLA Hengst, the recent filter alliance and paint brand, Sonne, which was launched at the inaugural Automechanika Birmingham last year, both of which have proved to be an immediate hit in the service and repair and bodyshop sectors respectively.

Senior head of marketing and communications at HELLA, Helen Goldingay, said, ‘We’ve been extremely busy at Automechanika, the size of the stand and the diversity of our products drew in a lot of visitors, which clearly demonstrates that HELLA is not just a lighting specialist, but a valuable partner across many product groups.

‘We had a lot of interest in our thermal management training academy, ATA, which shows us that garages want more advanced training on technical systems, proving the importance of the programme.

‘Overall, it’s been a useful three days for HELLA, as it’s allowed us to communicate directly with technicians and workshops, as well as showing them all our fantastic products, proving that we really are the workshop’s friend.’
