Fix steps up sponsorship activities

Fix Auto UK’s drive to raise its national profile has again stepped up a gear with the network sponsoring the Caterham Graduates Championship.

Under the new sponsorship agreement, Fix Auto branding will appear on all race cars eligible to compete in the series including those driven by Mick Whitehead, of Fix Auto Stoke-on-Trent, and Adrian Russell, of Fix Auto Chessington in the SigMax class.

The Caterham Graduates Championship will see drivers compete at some of the country’s most famous and iconic circuits including Oulton Park, Cadwell Park and Donington Park. The series will also take the racers overseas to Zandvoort in Holland, before the season finale takes place at Silverstone Circuit, home to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, on 7-8 October 2017.

The announcement extends the network’s support of British motorsport events following agreements to be a leading partner to the British Racing and Sports Car Club’s Mazda MX-5 SuperCup series, the sponsorship of teenage racer Jac Constable in his title chasing Ginetta GT4 and the sponsorship of Phil Harris’ multi-championship winning classic 1963 Mini Cooper rally car.

Mick, who has been a driving force behind the agreement, said, ‘I am delighted Fix Auto has got behind our championship. I’ll be a very proud man the next time I sit on the start line surrounded by a sea of Fix Auto branding.’

Tom Hadfield, head of marketing for Fix Auto UK, added, ‘Fix Auto is a national brand and we are continually looking at ways to raise our profile. When Mick brought the Caterham Graduates championship to our attention, we thought it was a fantastic opportunity to be involved in an event which features two franchisees racing head-to-head, and to also increase our presence within British motorsport.’
