Fix Auto Wrexham doubles in size

Fix Auto Wrexham is planning to relocate into a brand new bodyshop that is double the size of its existing repair centre.

Managing director Lee Hitch has announced the acquisition of a 10,000 sqft vacant building situated on a main trunk road close to his existing site in the heart of the Wrexham Industrial Estate.

The news comes less than two years after Fix Auto Wrexham was opened, in May 2015.

Lee said, ‘When we opened in Wrexham, our goal was to repair up to 25 vehicles a week. In truth, thanks to the team and processes in place, we are consistently outperforming that target and we have long believed that if we had the facilities, we could double our output. In effect, the site has become a victim of its own success and the only thing that’s holding us back is the restrictive space available.’

A traditional, static, spraybooth will be erected at the new site, while Fix Auto Wrexham’s STL six-bay moveable booth will also be transferred there.

Lee added, ‘The new site is just perfect for our needs, and will certainly future-proof the business. The layout will enable us to operate a free-flowing production process that will increase our productivity. Our current bottleneck is caused by a lack of car parking and storage, and this will be instantly eradicated.  What’s more, this new site offers further land for expansion should we want to develop the site even further.’
