Fix appoints McLaren to operations

Fix Auto UK has made a strategic move to further enhance its senior management team by appointing Michael McLaren to the newly created position of head of operations.

Michael, who joined Fix Auto in April as its regional operations manager for Scotland and northern England, will be responsible for leading and supporting the UK operations team and will continue to support his existing franchisees.

He will take up the post from 1 January 2018 and will report directly to Ian Pugh.

Ian Pugh of Fix Auto UK said, ‘This new and exciting role is another key strategic move that will allow us to further enhance our delivery. In his time with the business, Michael has made a big impression and has the perfect credentials to support and guide our field-based operations team.”

Michael said, ‘I am absolutely delighted to be given this exciting new position. To work with such a fantastic team of industry-leading professionals is an absolute pleasure and I am personally relishing the opportunity.’

Prior to joining the Fix Auto network, Michael spent nearly a decade as operations manager for accident repair and de-fleet with Allied Vehicles, during which the UK’s fifth largest single-site bodyshop joined the network as Fix Auto Glasgow North. His experience also includes senior roles at Carter & Carter and Nationwide Accident Repair.
