On 29-30 November, the Joining, Forming & Manufacturing Technology Europe Summit will return to the NEC, Birmingham with bodyshop again acting as media partner.
As part of the GALM series, this year’s summit will utilise OEM experts in both the automotive and aerospace industries, to highlight practical case studies on lightweight vehicle manufacturing technologies and innovations.
The OEM-led summit will address complex adhesive joining techniques, focus on spot-welding methods and discover a long-term view on dissimilar material joining strategies.
Speakers and panellists confirmed for the event include: Dr Yves Omboko,, production planner, Volkswagen AG; Chris Wheritt, joining specialist, BMW; Ucee Ukagha, BIW, advanced manufacturing engineering, Jaguar Landrover; and Luca Cornero, R&D – product development engineer, FCA Italy.
Over 15 solution led case studies will cover topics such as resistance spot welding for UHSS; resistance spot welding for aluminium structures; and adhesive joining from aerospace industry.
