Aviva making autonomous plans

Aviva is talking to manufacturers in an effort to secure its place in the industry when autonomous cars become mainstream.

A report in The Telegraph quoted Aviva’s international insurance chief, Maurice Tulloch as saying that the company was talking to ‘a number’ of manufacturers involved in the development of self-driving cars.

It’s understood that talks are in an advanced stage with at least one company, based in Canada, and that a potential deal could result in collaboration or see drivers automatically get Aviva insurance when buying a new car.
