AutoRaise launches Cadet Programme

AutoRaise has launched a new Cadet Programme in connection with the charity Believe in Young People (BiYP).

The aim of the programme is to offer young people an opportunity to prepare for careers in the vehicle repair industry and connect with suitable bodyshops.

In return of a subscription fee and the commitment to providing three work experience placements a year, BiYP will connect employers (bodyshops) with students who have been developed with the right skills and behaviours in a talent pipeline, with the opportunity to appoint one as an apprentice. BiYP manage the entire process which includes school and college engagement, production of programme materials, mentor training, measurement and reporting, dedicated account management, and talent bank management.

Chris Oliver, chairman of AutoRaise, said, ‘The AutoRaise – BiYP Cadet Programme allows young people to feel and experience the industry at a stage when their career options might not be clearly defined. By engaging with schools, young people and their families as local employers, together we get that vital triangulation of engagement for everyone involved which evidence shows has very positive outcomes.’

AutoRaise is supported by Audatex, BMS, CAPS Consortium, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Fix Auto UK, LV=, Morelli, RM and Upol.
