AutoRaise and REAL rally the troops

AutoRaise, the vehicle repair industry charity, is pleased to announce that it is officially partnering with the REAL Rally and that registration for the ‘infamous’ event is officially open.

On Wednesday 27 June 2018, the REAL Rally will be heading off from Worcester for a three-day tour of the beautiful North Wales countryside, taking an overnight stop at four-star hotels in Portmeirion and a second night in the historical town of Chester.

An initiative of the Essex-based children’s charity, REAL – the Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund, in partnership with AutoRaise, the funds raised by the industry will support activities to directly address the skills shortage.

Now firmly established in the calendar as a highly entertaining display of camaraderie, vehicle preparation, navigation skills and competitive fundraising for the vehicle repair industry’s charity, the grid is shaping nicely with early registrations in.

‘While the cars (and many of the entrants) will likely have seen better days, we expect spirits to be high as drivers test their trusty steeds over the Rally route,’ said founder of REAL and AutoRaise CEO, Bob Linwood. ‘This is not a race, just a fun event giving lots of satisfaction – testing the teams’ buying and preparation skills, enjoying a thoroughly Welsh road trip and helping support our fantastic charitable causes.’

It’s essential that the industry gets behind addressing the skills shortage, whether it be taking on new apprentices, hosting Industry Showcase Events or simply helping to spread the word.
