ACIS high for Vauxhall

Vauxhall’s approved network of bodyshops is reporting greater transparency, enhanced customer relationships and improved efficiency after introducing a suite of online management tools from ACIS.

Less than 12 months ago Vauxhall appointed ACIS to provide paint, dry consumables and access to a wide range of value-added services to its 170 approved bodyshops.

The deal with ACIS, secured after a competitive tender, provided Vauxhall with PPG paint and consumables, bodyshop health checks, online staff training and self-audit tools, as well as access to ASCRIBE, its web-based stock management technology that drives down costs, reduces waste and increases efficiencies by an average of 20% per bodyshop.

ACIS also offered Vauxhall its central billing capability, a stand-alone software programme that reduces the need for multiple invoicing and delivers even bigger savings for ACIS customers who use ASCRIBE, because it automatically triggers bodyshop replenishment requests as part of its functionality. A full online reporting suite known as ‘NEXUS’ is available to such customers who can now quickly see their purchases arranged in a format to suit them. ACIS’ full array of online tools are now accessible through their new ACIS PORTAL making access quicker and easier but just as secure.

Graham O’Neill, CEO for ACIS, said, ‘Putting control back in the hands of our customers is central to the ACIS offering. Today’s bodyshop management is all about effective communication and value for money so that costs do not spiral out of control. Keeping an accurate handle on inventory and time management means that bodyshops will keep customers longer and technology plays a major part of this retention.’
