24-hour emergency call-out

Autotech Recruit will use Automechanika to launch a campaign highlighting how its services could help bodyshops cope with extreme staff shortages a day.

It aims to drive awareness of its network of pre-screened, highly skilled MOT testers and vehicle technicians able to provide cover emergency or longer-term cover to businesses throughout the UK.

Autotech Recruit’s MD Gavin White said, ‘From holiday and sickness cover, to managing peak periods of business, lost revenue from an unmanned MOT station can amount to £2,000 per day. A temporary contractor, who can be in situ within as little as 24 hours, can cover anything from one day to a few months to ensure the efficiency of a garage or workshop is maintained.’

The UK is a centre of excellence in the manufacturing of vehicles, but the skills shortage is still acute and, testament to this, Autotech Recruit has witnessed a surge in demand for skilled candidates to take up both temporary and permeant positions over the last 12 months.
