VW challenged by Aussie rules

Australian lawyers have begun a class action against Volkswagen on behalf of 100,000 VW owners in the county.

This follows the emissions scandal of last year, with lawyers arguing that the German car manufacturer duped Australian motorists and must now offer proper compensation.

Maurice Blackburn class action lawyer Jason Geisker said, ‘It’s time they offered a proper compensatory fix for affected Australians and stopped treating us as a backwater.’

Maurice Blackburn and rival firm Bannister Law have both begun class action against VW on behalf of 100,000 owners.

As well as Australia, VW is also facing legal action in the US, South Korea and its own country.
