Volvo introduces new apprentice programme

Volvo Cars has launched a new apprenticeship programme for its dealers and approved body and paint centre network.

The Volvo Cars apprenticeships are designed to inspire young people to further their careers, offering the chance to gain experience, improve knowledge and to become fully qualified in their role with the organisation. The programmes offer VCQ and VRQ qualifications at level two and three.

The new boy and paint technician programme is a practical scheme linked to the Volvo Car UK body and paint development programme. In the first two years the apprenticeship covers both body and paint, followed by a final year when the individual takes specialist training in one of these fields.

Every apprentice will have up to seven blocks of training in each year of learning, either at Volvo’s body and paint training centre in Milton Keynes or at its dealer training and development centre at Daventry.

As well as having instructor-led training, an apprentice can complete e-learning modules via the  Volvo Cars Performance Academy website.

A Volvo apprenticeship team is available to support apprentice recruitment for Volvo approved body and paint centres.
