TrustFord backs Cancer Research event

TrustFord, in its third year of partnership with Cancer Research UK, supported CRUK’s annual Shine Night Walk with four transit vans.

Branded for the event, the vans were used to help the CRUK team set up and break down the event, as well as for transporting supplies between the various pit stops along the route.

The Shine Night Walk is an overnight marathon walk that took place in London to raise awareness and funds for life-saving research into cancer. In recent years, over 90,000 people have participated in the event, which sees entrants walk either a half marathon or full marathon overnight. All fundraisers taking part set off from Southwark Park and finish at Old Billingsgate.

Head of marketing, Julia Greenhough who leads the CRUK partnership for TrustFord said, ‘Cancer Research UK plays a hugely important role in the fight against cancer and we are very proud to play even a small role in their vital fundraising. All of us at TrustFord wish those taking part in the event, including some of our own colleagues, the very best of luck.’

In 2015, TrustFord raised over £100,000 for Cancer Research UK and BEN (Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund), its two official charity partners.
