TruckEast joins Isuzu network

Isuzu Truck UK has expanded its UK dealer network by appointing TruckEast Ltd as its service and parts dealer for the Northamptonshire area.

Pete Murphy, managing director at Isuzu Truck UK, said, ‘TruckEast is a well known and hugely respected commercial vehicle business. By adding it to our extensive UK Dealer network this will offer our customers even better service support in the area. TruckEast is ideally located at Corby, just off the A14 trunk route, with easy access to all the main motorway networks.’

TruckEast is a multi-franchise commercial vehicle operation covering east Midlands and east Anglia. At its Corby site it operates a five-bay workshop for LCV’s, trucks and buses, including an ATF Lane, tacho bay and MOT facilities.

It has a fleet of 10 mobile support vans providing additional services such as tail lifts, refrigeration and trailer repair and maintenance. The final part of the specialist portfolio is the recovery team, which provides assistance to both LCV and HGV operators across the county.

James Phillips, depot manager, said, ‘When we acquired this additional site, and refurbished it to a high specification, the opportunity to work with Isuzu Truck was ideal. There is a substantial population of Isuzus in this area and, having the strength of the TruckEast organisation behind us, means that we have significant resource to support the Isuzu customer base and keep their vehicles moving.

‘Since we took on the Isuzu franchise in May we have made a substantial investment in ongoing staff training courses through ITUK and this has enabled us to have a seamless transition to being a fully operational service and parts dealer within their network.’
