Trailblazer drafts open for review

The three ‘single skill’ trailblazer apprenticeship standards proposed by the Collision Repair Sector Trailblazer Group are now officially open for review.

Following an independent, industry wide invitation for feedback in September by the group and subsequent submission of the draft standards, the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) is now seeking official feedback from industry.

The Department for Education websites reads: ‘This survey invites you to comment on new draft apprenticeship standards submitted this month by our Trailblazer employer groups, before a decision is made on whether to approve them for further development and delivery.’

It continues, ‘This short survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will enhance the development of Standards submitted by our Trailblazers and help ensure that new apprenticeships are viable, high quality, and widely supported.’

Feedback on any of the three standards – Vehicle Damage Mechanical Technician; Vehicle Damage Paint Technician; and Vehicle Damage Panel Technician – can be given here.

The consultation closes 14 October 2016.
