Swansway wins national recognition

Family owned and run Swansway Group has picked up a nationally recognised employer of the year award.

Crewe-based Swansway Group operates 20 dealerships spread between Preston and Birmingham with the Swansway Accident Repair Centre in Crewe recently been named Audi UK’s specialist repair centre for its Audi R8 supercar.

Now employing over 850 staff the business is operated by the core values, chosen by their employees, of ‘caring, honest and proud’.

Judges of the Motor Trader employer of the year award commented, ‘Swansway makes a virtue of being a family-run business and it shows in the way staff are treated in a refreshingly human, rather than process driven, way.’

Staff at the company all enjoy an extra day off on their birthday, a family fun day, free for them and all their family, along the opportunity to really reach their potential through training and hard work.

Family member and Swansway Group director John Smyth, commented, ‘We see our staff as our extended family and treat them as such. Nothing gives us greater pleasure than to see someone join us from school or college and to go on and grow in the business. We have so many team members who are ‘home-grown’ in this way and I have to say it makes us extremely proud.’
