RAC warranty product sales up

Sales of RAC branded warranty products offered through its network of dealers are currently up 36% in 2016, according to new figures.

Across the UK, the network of dealers offering these products totals more than 1,100 and includes independents, car supermarkets and franchise dealers.

Sean Kent, director, corporate and independent dealers at The Warranty Group, the RAC’s partner in the dealer sector, said, ‘Even bearing in mind the fact that the used car market in the first half of the year has performed very well, these are excellent figures.

‘Our own target for the year was a 20% uplift, so we are well on the way to beating this by some margin, continuing the level of success we have seen in the last few years.’

Sean said that feedback showed that the sales increase could be attributed to both the influence of the RAC name and the warranty products themselves.
