Pendragon partners Notts Business School

Pendragon plc, a leading online automotive retailer, has partnered with Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University to offer a higher apprenticeship scheme.

The four year programme involves a full time service advisor job role in a dealership whilst studying, and results in a BA (Hons) management and leadership degree, and a Level 6 chartered management qualification. The team members are also on non-fixed term permanent contracts which means they have roles at the end of their course too.

Nottingham Business School, corporate programmes leader Dr Polly Pick explained, ‘This new scheme offers work experience, and results in a degree, but with no tuition fees and no student debt. We have partnered with organisations that offer great progression opportunities, and we plan for these students to be the managers of the future. This Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship is a new addition to our longstanding sponsored degree courses and we’re really pleased with the experience of the students and the results so far.’

Sam Butler, service advisor at Evans Halshaw Ford Preston, one of the 374 team members undertaking an apprenticeship at Pendragon plc said, ‘When I was looking at the options for working whilst studying, and came across the higher apprenticeship scheme at Pendragon I wondered what the catch was. I’m finding it busy working full time and studying, but really enjoying it.’
