Nationwide nominates new charity partner

Nationwide has named Macmillan as its charity partner for 2016.

The business has asked all of its sites to raise £1,000 each and it claims to be ‘on track’ with the commitment to raise significant funds once again.

Last year Nationwide raised £48,158.21 for its 2015 chosen charity partner Mission Motorsport by organising a number of fundraising events across all its bodyshops and offices in the UK including having Great British Bake-Off celebrity, Paul Hollywood, judge a bake-off in Formby.

Michael Wilmshurst, Nationwide CEO said, ‘We are very proud of our fundraising efforts and delighted to be able to help those who need it the most.

‘For 2016 the team have chosen Macmillan and I am sure that we will collaboratively continue raising a significant amount for this important Charity.

‘We can proudly state our team know how to work together and support each other in delivering results.’

Macmillan’s research helps to understand and improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer.
