Lucky 13 for Great Ormond Street

Close Brothers Motor Finance employees have raised nearly £13,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital through a series of charity events.

Fundraising initiatives included a 1,300-mile cycling challenge between all of Close Brothers Motor Finance’s offices, with John Murphy, account manager at the Sheffield Branch, covering 140 miles himself.

Other activities included cake sales, quizzes, racing nights and a silent auction.

The £12,898.47 raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital will go towards purchasing special cots which help babies maintain temperature while they are in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

James Broadhead, CEO of Close Brothers Motor Finance, said, ‘I’d like to commend the efforts of all those who took part in charity initiatives to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. From the great determination shown by our staff who took part in our cycle challenge, to the dealers and employees who dug deep to bid on our silent auction, everyone has played their part in helping us raise even more money for such a vital charity and cause.’
