Is your battery charged for winter?

Drivers have been warned to make sure their batteries are ready for winter.

With more than 20% of vehicles having to replace their batteries each year, Mopar is inviting Fiat Chrysler Automobiles UK customers in for a complimentary winter check as part of its new ‘At your Service’ initiative. The offer is valid until 31 December.

Andy Hayward, Mopar parts and service commercial manager, said, ‘Not only does the cold affect your battery’s charge, but winter is when all of your vehicle’s electrics work hardest. That includes heater blowers, air conditioning, heated screen, windscreen wipers, diesel glow plugs and if you’re lucky, heated seats.’

A battery check report reveals the condition of the battery and charging system, including alternator output and alternator drive belt.
