Insurers set the bar high

Covéa Insurance engineers have set a new industry benchmark by achieving a ‘distinction’ for the second year in a row during a certification process with Audatex.

Every operational member of the insurer’s claims motor engineers’ team undertook the training programme with each one receiving a ‘distinction’ pass.

Underpinning the success of the training programme was a detailed online Training Needs Analysis exercise conducted by Audatex to enable it to understand the objectives of the individuals taking part in the training. This resulted in bespoke sessions being created, to ensure the exact training needs of everyone were met. To achieve a ‘distinction’, candidates had to achieve a score of 92.5% or higher across a challenging series of theory, assessment construction and audit tests.

Alastair Sherwin, claims motor engineers team manager, said, ‘I’ve always been confident that our engineers are amongst the very best in the industry and to achieve such an outstanding result really highlights this. It’s impressive enough for the whole operational team to achieve a distinction, but to be the first insurer ever to achieve this and then to repeat it for a second year is truly exceptional.’

Layton Davies, senior business development manager for Audatex, added, ‘After the achievement last year of the entire team realising distinctions to repeat this feat was always going to be a big ask. Covéa Insurance is always at the forefront of advancement and at Audatex we welcome appetite in raising the bar. By creating an industry leading training programme together with the engagement of the Covéa Insurance team this magnificent result has been achieved two years in a row.’
